Arrived from the deep south round bout midday
To taste the pleasures of Chicago town
Feeling right fine, had some jingle in my pocket
My feet were treading on shaky ground
She walked with a twitch, gave me an itch
To get to know her better
Whatever she wanted to take from me.
You bet your life I let her
Baby baby took me for a ride
Came on with a rush
When she had taken everything I had
Tossed me out like a dried up husk, dried up husk
Her kisses made me linger, I’s wrapped around her finger
She said jump, I asked how high
She strung me along like the boy I was
Ain’t no use me denying
She must have seen me coming, a hayseed from the farm
Took on this child on to satisfy her needs
When she’d finally sucked me dry
My bones were laying bleached in the field
